Brereton Heath

The story of Brereton began in the last Ice Age, when melting water left huge deposits of sand. This sand has shaped the history and present-day appearance of Brereton.

Until 1959 the poor sandy soil supported a woodland plantation and heath vegetation which was managed for timber and game.
