Ride the Biddulph Valley Way

The Biddulph Valley Way is part of route 55 of the National Cycle Network (NCN). A multi-user route along a disused railway line, with flat terrain and several access points for horse riders. Grade Easy. Distance 3.3km /2.1miles (Cheshire section). Time Approx. 45 mins (from end to end). Start Brook Street Car Park, Congleton.

Horse riders will enjoy the flat, well-surfaced path of the Biddulph Valley Way. Horse riders are requested to walk or trot only on the main track with an additional track for cantering being provided between the railway viaduct and the canal aqueduct.

Road Directions

Leave M6 at jct 17 and follow the A534 towards Congleton. Biddulph Valley Way is a short walk along the canal towpath from Congleton railway station. Parking is available in Congleton just off the A54.
