Home / What To Do & See / Horse Riding in Congleton Borough / Ride the Wheelock Rail Trail
Only 3 years old, the Wheelock Rail Trail is a 2km multi-use route from Ettiley Heath to Malkins Bank.
Formerly and old railway track, and following its closure in 1966, the track lay derelict for many years until recently when it has been upgraded, resurfaced and improved considerably.
The route provides a high quality facility for walkers, cyclists and horseriders.
The whole trail is accessible to walkers and cyclists, horse riders are unable to cross at the Wheelock bypass.
